Who we are

What we collect and why
We collect only what we need to do the thing you asked for.
- When you request a resource: your first name and email address, so we can send it. Lawful basis: consent.
- When you complete an assessment: your answers, so we can score them and show you results. Lawful basis: consent.
- When you create an account: your name, email, business name and stage, so the platform works. Lawful basis: consent, then contract once you become a client.
- When you become a client: the information needed to deliver the work, including company details and documents you upload. Lawful basis: contract.
- How you found us: the page you landed on, the campaign or link you clicked, and basic technical data. Lawful basis: consent.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data, and we never will.
We do not use your documents or your business information to train artificial-intelligence models.
We do not collect special-category data such as health information about you. Where a client's work involves such information about other people, that is handled under a separate written agreement.
We do not add you to marketing emails just because you downloaded a resource. Marketing consent is a separate, optional, unticked box, and the resource is delivered whether you tick it or not.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of first-party cookies. One keeps you signed in. One holds a random identifier so that if you download a resource and later create an account, we can join those up rather than asking you to type everything twice. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Our conversion reporting runs on our own servers rather than through an external analytics network.
How long we keep it
Leads with no meaningful engagement are deleted after 24 months. Client records are kept for seven years for commercial and tax purposes. Documents are kept for the period set out in your contract. Analytics records are kept for 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@carecove.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you ask to be removed from marketing, we keep a record of your email address on a suppression list purely so we never contact you again by mistake.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Access to client information is restricted by role, and one client can never see another client's records. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing. Sessions expire and can be revoked. Files are stored with access controls and are only served to the organisation that owns them.
